A native of the Northeast, Kate spent 10 years in St. Louis, MO earning her education from Wash U, volunteering at a phenomenal organization providing food and medical care for low-income residents, and meeting and dating her now-husband Phil. They relocated to Las Vegas in 2019 for Kate’s first academic faculty position at the University of Nevada, and returned east for a faculty position at Rutgers University in 2023. They have a young daughter and a German Shepherd.
